This is the second Pedagodzilla on Tour visit to the Durham University Postgraduate Researcher Development Conference. This time Mark was also talking to four attendees of the conference. The difference this time is that all four chats have been combined into one bumper episode.
The people Mark spoke to were
Paul Stafford – Enterprise Manager at Durham’s Venture Lab and keynote speaker at the conference.
Dr. Martina Diehl – Academic Development Adviser at DCAD (and Mark’s colleague) and the Lead Organiser of the PGR Development Conference
Joby Mageean – Stand-up comedian and convenor of one of the workshops at the conference
Grace McCabe – PhD student at Durham. Her thesis is studying the social media use of children with Williams syndrome.
Listen to all four (they’re all fascinating) or dip in by skipping ahead to these time codes
0 to 8:28 Paul Stafford talking about Venture Lab
8:28 to 17:38 Martina Diehl talking about researcher development
17:38 to 29:07 Joby Mageean talking about stand-up comedy and its use in formulating ideas
29:07 to 42:08 Grace McCabe talking about her PhD and reflections on new government policy around social media use
